SWIFT CURRENT, SK – The Southwest Facility Foundation is excited to announce a generous donation of $100,000 from an anonymous donor to help support the construction of new recreation facilities in Swift Current. This significant gift speaks volumes to the strength, spirit, and generosity of the Southwest and a shared vision for what we need in the area. This donation brings the Southwest Facility Foundation’s total campaign to over $1.2 Million.
“We’re honoured to accept this donation and have great respect for this anonymous donor wishing to support and contribute $100,000 towards a new facility for the Southwest Saskatchewan region. This kind gesture is only a small part of what this individual and his company do for us in this region. To give our youth and their families a facility to enhance life in the Southwest. On behalf of the Board of the SWFF, we thank you for believing in our communities.” comments Vim Parmar, SWFF Board Member.
Along with fundraising, part of the Foundation’s mission is to share and educate the community about the need, importance, and benefits of new recreation facilities in Swift Current. New facilities provide much-needed space for residents of all ages to gather and participate in a variety of recreational activities, fostering a healthy and active community.
New facilities would service and benefit the entire Southwest community by improving the quality of life and boosting tourism, economic activity, and future growth for Southwest Saskatchewan. The City of Swift Current continues to leverage and lobby all levels of government for their assistance and support of future projects, and apply for any applicable funding and grants.
