SWIFT CURRENT, SK – We are excited to announce the generous commitment of $25,000 from Fieldstone Energy to the Southwest Facility Foundation. The Foundation has raised over $3.9 Million to date since October 2023. These funds are being raised to support future recreation facility construction projects approved by the City of Swift Current. The Foundation continues to work with the City and to engage with the community and stakeholders regarding the importance and benefit of getting these projects underway.
“We’re thrilled to announce that Fieldstone Energy has generously committed $25,000 toward the development of the new leisure facility in Swift Current!
This incredible contribution is a testament to the strong community spirit that defines our region. Once again, Swift Current and surrounding areas are stepping up—demonstrating that local businesses truly believe in investing in the future of not only their own families, but in the well-being and growth of the entire southwest.
Thank you, Fieldstone Energy, for helping bring this vision closer to reality. Your support moves us one step closer to building a space that will bring health, connection, prosperity and fun to our community for generations to come!”, Vim Parmar, SWFF Board of Directors
Along with fundraising, part of the Foundation’s mission is to share and educate the community about the need, importance, and benefits of new recreation facilities in Swift Current. New facilities provide much-needed space for residents of all ages to gather and participate in a variety of recreational activities, fostering a healthy and active community. Recreation facilities are proven to provide significant boosts to tourism, economic activity, and future growth.
Currently, the City of Swift Current has submitted an application for the Canadian Green & Inclusive Community Buildings grant from the Federal Government which would be a percentage of the building cost. The grant is still outstanding. The City of Swift Current continues to leverage and lobby all levels of government for their assistance and support of future projects.
