SWIFT CURRENT, SK – We are excited to announce that the R.M. of Swift Current No. 137 has committed $300,000 over 10 years to the Southwest Facility Foundation. This brings the total raised by the Southwest Facility Foundation to over $3.77 million since July 2023.

This was collaborative effort between the past and current RM Council, who understand the importance of these facilities for the residents of Southwest Saskatchewan.

“The R.M. of Swift Current No. 137 is glad to invest in the future and collaborate with our peers to move the community forward.” – Past & Present Council, R.M. of Swift Current.

As a Foundation, we are very happy to see support coming from RM’s, farmers, and surrounding areas as we all benefit from indoor aquatic and sport facilities located in Swift Current.

“The SWFF is proud of the support that we are receiving from outside our city limits. Facilities like an Aquatic Centre are facilities that are to be used, shared, and enjoyed by everyone.”  - Jim Jones, City of Swift Current CAO & SWFF Board Member

Modern recreation facilities provide much-needed space for people of all ages to gather and be active - fostering a healthy and active community. New facilities benefit the entire Southwest by improving the quality of life and poising our region as an even better place to live and visit. Recreation facilities are proven to provide significant boosts to tourism, economic activity, and future growth.
