SWIFT CURRENT, SK – The Southwest Facility Foundation and Innovation Federal Credit Union are excited to launch a donor matching campaign where Innovation will match up to $250,000 in donations and letters of commitment made to the Southwest Facility Foundation from October 7 to December 20, 2024. Donations of all sizes accumulate to help us reach the goal of building a new recreational facility.
“The Southwest Facility Foundation continues to do such a tremendous job of fundraising for a recreational facility in Swift Current. Our matching program is just a way for Southwest residents to “double their donation” for the next few months, getting us even closer to seeing this fantastic endeavor come to fruition. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far to the campaign. We love being a part of such a generous community and can’t wait to further support sports and rec in Swift Current.” -Dan Johnson, CEO of Innovation Federal Credit Union
The campaign will run from now until December 20th 2024 for all donations made to the Southwest Facility Foundation. Innovation will match individual donations up to $1,000. Matched donations include cash donations made online or by cheque, as well as letters of commitment which are pledges to donate at a later date and/or over multiple years. For larger donations or commitments, Innovation will match the first $1,000 of the total amount.
“We’re really excited about this type of fundraising initiative. It’s an amazing show of support from Innovation, and it encourages everyone to get involved and start pooling donations of all sizes to make a BIG splash (all puns intended!). Donations big and small are vital to the success of our campaign. If you’ve been thinking about contributing, now is a great time to maximize your donation. We can’t wait to see what people come up with, as the creativity, generosity, and collaboration has already been phenomenal. Next stop is $3 Million!” – Caitlin Mann, SWFF Board Member
Along with fundraising, part of the Foundation’s mission is to share and educate the community about the need, importance, and benefits of new recreation facilities in Swift Current. New facilities provide much-needed space for residents of all ages to gather and participate in a variety of recreational activities, fostering a healthy and active community. The benefits extend well beyond the user groups and benefit the entire Southwest by improving the quality of life and poising our city as an even better place to live. Recreation facilities are proven to provide significant boosts to tourism, economic activity, and future growth.
